Frames are welded up in the shop. Everything after that bolts together — panels into the frame, modules to each other, modules to the ground. It goes up in a crane day or two, and it comes apart the same way.

01/05 How it's built

How it's built

Built indoors
Panels and floor cassettes go together indoors, on jigs. Site work runs at the same time instead of waiting its turn.
Out of the weather
Nothing is framed in the rain. Tolerances hold because shop conditions hold, and the same crew builds every module.
Set with a crane
Modules arrive finished. Setting them is a crane day and a bolt-down, not a framing season.

One module, six parts.

Nothing is glued or foamed shut. The joints that hold a module to its neighbors are bolts, and a bolt comes out. The crew that puts a module together is the crew that takes it apart.

What we make

Inside a finished module: cream wall and ceiling panels, black steel frame ribs running along the wall and ceiling junctions, a kitchen along one side and a dining table at the end.

A steel chassis, panels fitted indoors, then bolted together on your site. One module or twelve, single story or stacked.

Furniture

Flat-pack that doesn't feel like flat-pack. Solid timber, steel fixings, no cam locks, and it comes apart with a hex key. Same reasoning as the houses, at a size you can carry.

Pricing

The person who quotes your project is the person who walks your site.

We don't publish a price list. There is no calculator on this site that will hand you a number. What a house costs depends on your ground, your permits, the access road, and what you actually want in it. Send us the plot and a rough idea. You get a real figure back, with the reasoning attached.
